There is this thing called the rule of law. And whether it is a small font designation as we have discussed recently, or something so major as an ability to be seated on the supreme court, we must try to follow as best we can. When we KNOW the law, it shall be our guide. And when we do not, and find it by coincidence of our situation, we ought to consider a way to rectify our mistakes and mitigate the effect.
Shall I be the first to cast stones?
Not in the classic sense. God has made me but one man among many. Many men who have differing opinions, but come together at points to agree on how best we serve each other in fairness and recognizing the natural born rights we all share. Part of those agreements make up the law to be followed by all the citizens. I must atone personally for my own mistakes, and must also follow rules previously established, else I pay a price in some manner.
I make no claim to be technically or morally superior. But I will announce when I see something that is wrong. Especially when there still is time for it to be fixed.

[News] To the Livingston County Democrats - those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

Awhile back, Judy Daubenmier, Kevin Shopshire, (both former reporters part of the media) and the local democrats were going crazy about one of our county commissioners who was unopposed for election, from clicking the waiver wire. It was a mistake, a blunder, since corrected, but wasn't front page material.
The post primaries were due yesterday. After this broad shot fired across the board, I'm here to show in spades that those in glass houses should not throw stones. Whether it was due to malfeasance or just incompetence, Judy Daubenmier's crew screwed up. If you are going to fire off, you better be clean, because I can find where the skeletons are buried.
First, disclaimers. This violates the spirit of the law, and also the letter if internet websites are considered "print" or "broadcast" ads. Who paid for the dem commissioner websites? I'll get to that in a minute.

The Ivory Tower this morning has one of the most complete pieces on the Fake Tea Party Fiasco to date.
More information, more interviews, and an easier to follow trail to the Democrats. Including the following:

The Free Press found:

Mike McGuinness, the recently resigned chairman of the Oakland County Democratic Party, who had denied any role in the Tea Party controversy, recruited his former stepmother to run for state representative.

Jason Bauer, 30, of Waterford, former operations director for the Oakland Democrats and McGuinness' roommate, notarized petitions for at least four affidavits to run for office for people who now -- directly or through a relative -- say they didn't sign the affidavits. Overall, he notarized 12 of 23 Tea Party candidate affidavits.

State Senate candidate Frantt Whitehill of Midland, who insists he's a real tea partyer, is a Democratic donor who ran for precinct delegate as a Democrat in August.

The article mentions reporters getting tossed from Mark Steffek's property, the multiple fraudulently filled out affidavits, and an ongoing grand jury investigation. Add to this a complete and utter denial by Democrat party puppeteer Mark Brewer and would be ballot guard Jocelyn Benson, that they had any connection to the entire attempted vote stealing affair.
Kudos to the Ivo.. umm Free Press and its crack reporting on this.

[News] Republican's First 100 Days

When Republicans take back control of both houses of Congress in January, their first order of business must be voting to restore all of the Bush tax cuts. Yes, even the cuts for those evil capitalist pigs considered The Rich. If President Obama vetoes it, he will only be sealing his political fate to a one-term presidency. Even the most hateful class warrior subconsciously understands that raising anyone's taxes in the midst of an economic depression only worsens an already dire situation.
The next step is to sell off any remaining government ownership and control of GM and Chrysler. The automakers need to sink or swim on their own in the free market.
Then it's time to cancel any further spending from the balance remaining in the Obama-stash stimulus bill. Reportedly, only half of the $1 Trillion Obama slush fund has been spent. Do NOT spend the remaining half billion dollar balance. That will automatically cut 2011's projected $1 Trillion-plus deficit in half.
 Read the rest at www.RightCuz.com
