As Mayor Williamson who declines a salary, as paid for out of pocket various city works projects such as lawn care.  The UAW backed city council would insist that unless the city hired and excessive amount of employees and paid extremely high pay, they would just let the grass grow three foot high so Flint could look even worse.

If Flint ever hopes to be somewhat respectable again they need Don Williamson.

The paralels here are that where ever the Democrats/Unions are whether it be Detroit, Lansing, or Flint they will always put lining their own pockets first at the expense of everyday people. Though the Democrats may say they want to help people, through big government once again lining their own pockets they will let no one ever try anything that could improve communities if it doesn't mean lining their own pockets.

Michigan would be better off if Granholm took a page from Mayor Williamson when it comes to taking initiative.
