Major Zarko Research Exclusive: Internal CMU E-mail LeakedBy chetly, Section News
Over at OutsideLansing.com, we're experiencing a minor (well, not minor) blip in traffic from dot edu domains due to this Zarko Research Exclusive documenting e-mail leaked to us about Dennis Lennox written by Central Michigan University English faculty.
The e-mail savages Lennox, making him out to be the next Virginia Tech shooter, and weirdly suggesting that Lennox and national conservative academic freedom commentator David Horowitz are somehow in cahoots. Whatever the cause one might have for dislike of Lennox, this type of speculation is inappropriate and possibly the real type of libel (not the weird speculation that Nick is risking libel when he says Lennox was assaulted). On the other end of the story, its time for the CMU administration to act or get off the pot, so to speak. If Lennox is a threat, as a "conservative" move to protect the safety of students they must remove him. If he's not, they must condemn those that libel him and hold themselves to a standard of evidence before making accusations or acting generally. It's a story worth looking at.
