    The Peters Report on RightMichigan.com

The Petersgate scandal is once again in the headlines after the OutsideLansing.com political blog posted e-mails from colleagues of Gary Peters at Central Michigan University.

In a disturbing exchange of e-mails, professors from CMU's English Department maliciously attacked Students Against Gary Peters spokesman Dennis Lennox, saying he has "mental health" issues because of his stand against Peters exploiting his professorship while he runs for Congress against Joe Knollenberg.

SpartanSpectator.com picked up the story, detailing one of the professor's bizarre accusations. It was also talked about on RightMichigan.com with blogger Amanda Zaluckyj discussing what's happening at CMU.

While the latest Petersgate twist comes to the public's attention, the Central Michigan Life student newspaper ran a front page story on the biased investigation into the incident of Peters' boss, Dean Pamela Gates.

As you may recall, Gates was caught on video assaulting Lennox when he went to serve her with a lawful Freedom of Information Act request on Peters. The incident was "reviewed" -- not investigated -- by CMU's Office of Affirmative Action, where the dean has worked as a coordinator.

Lennox, as spokesman for Students Against Gary Peters, declined to participate in the one-sided inquiry and instead asked school President Michael Rao to ask the Michigan State Police lead an independent investigation. CMU declined and continued with the sham -- the school even deleted evidence of the conflict of interest with Gates' boss investigating her from the Office of Affirmative Action website on Tuesday afternoon when reporters started to ask questions.

But there was never any question the "review" would side with Gates, especially when you consider the statements made by CMU's official spokesman.
