You can't just add "ing" to the back of a noun and create your own new word.

That would be called "wording."  

See?  It doesn't always work.  It just sounds stupid.

No matter how much time you spend efforting to do it, it will turn out badly.

And if you SAY efforting you just sound like a tool.
