Michigan Citizen's saying "NO" to Tax Hikes!

It's nice to see our citizen's standing up for what they believe and sending a clear message to Lansing that they will not stand for a tax hike.

In the Traverse City Record Eagle, it is being reported that tax activists have filled out the paperwork to recall at least 10, with a possible 20 more representatives and senators who choose to vote for tax increases.

This is just the beginning.  I hope and believe that the citizens have reached their limit in unfullfilled promises and unsuccessful bids at getting the budget balanced.  Increasing taxes is not and should not be at the top of the list for resolving the current crisis.

Put this into perspective.  You are going through your monthly budget and you find that you are short by a large quantity of money.  What would you do?  Well, as the  leader of your home, you would first look at where you can trim the fat.  What are you doing to cause a hemmorage of money?  Are you giving yourself too much "allowance"?  Essentially are you giving yourself too much wiggle room?

After you work it this way and that, if you still find that you are short, you would need to THEN figure out how to generate more income - this would include potentially selling stuff.  And, increasing your inflows by getting an additional or entirely different job.

Lansing needs to put this in perspective.  Kind of like a WWYD mentality.

The state is a business.  And, I don't know of many businesses (small to medium) that would look any further than the person staring back at them in the mirror to resolve their problem.
