But that doesn't mean there isn't work for us to do.
Rep. Chris Ward needs a little love right now. He's the GOP leader on the floor and has, I've been told, been targetted HARD all day. The Dems are trying to get him to vote for their tax hike and to accept 30 pieces of silver to help convince other Republicans to vote for it too.
Please take a minute to send a note to Rep. Ward to thank him for his hard work and for sticking to his principles. Let him know we're proud he hasn't sold his constituents down the river. And let him know we're watching. His email is chrisward@house.mi.gov

House Democrats have been leaking their "target" list of GOP Representatives to the press this morning and afternoon.

They're offering "extra" cash for their school districts if they'll sell their constituents up the creek without a paddle and vote for the job-killing $1.2 BILLION Democrat tax hike.

Members are around, though some staff are gone for the day. The best way to get ahold of everyone right now is via email that buzzes right through to the blackberry on their hips!

Please take a second to send a note of encouragement to the following GOP Reps reminding them of the importance of a no vote on job-killing tax hikes. Encourage them to stand firm in the face of pressure. Encourage them not to even consider accepting bribes.

They've held strong so far but it's coming hot and heavy from Dillon and Granholm herself right now. They don't have the votes in their own caucus so they're trying to buy off conservatives.

I think a lot of folks are watching the Lions, but I fired an email off to Rep. Ward. The GOP Reps need all the encouragement they can get.

Ward is mine and I wrote him the last time there was an urgent alert. I did get a reply and will write again now.
The local paper's story chat is full of all kinds of misinformation.

I bring up a sore point? Did you thank him for voting against the $1.7 billion in cuts? Isn't that what you wanted? If not, what do you want? Afraid to take responsibility for those?
