Time to set the record straight with a little compare and contrast

The Detroit Free Press is really on a roll.  Sure, they peddle ridiculous liberal tripe on a daily basis but these last couple of weeks have really been winners.  Take this missive in a story titled Next Stop Michigan? Nope.

If you figured Michigan would have nonstop Republican presidential candidate visits beginning Wednesday, the day after the New Hampshire primary, you figured wrong.

No.  If you figured that the Detroit Free Press was an evenhanded newspaper that was more interested in the facts then in playing partisan political games to benefit their heroes on the far left you figured wrong.  A few years ago the Ivory Tower could have printed something like that and gotten away with it but thanks to Al Gore and his enlightened decision to invent the internets and the intertubes it's not hard to point out the liberal media's lies (though that doesn't seem to stop them from lying in the first place).

Just so we're clear, here is a tentative schedule of Republican and Democrat Presidential candidate visits to Michigan between tomorrow and election day, January 15th.  Notice, if you will, that there are GOP Presidential candidates criss-crossing the State on an almost daily basis while the Democrats... well... you'll see.

    Read on...

    Excellent catch, Nick... (none / 0) (#1)

... it's typical of the Freep to carry water for the Democrats even after they've blackballed Michigan's primary.  Your list is even better because it shows the candidates are getting out of Southeast Michigan to visit.  (BTW, where's Fred?)

contains the events for which campaigns have sent out statewide notice.  Fred, Rudy, Captain Ron and Duncan Hunter are largely absent from this draft but as I get more information I'll pass it along.
That said, just the TWO candidates, Mitt and McCain, are spending more time in Michigan in the next week then the Democrat nominee is likely to spend between now and 2016.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you that the fish paper missed something so blatently obvious!

Why, the next thing you know, they'll be telling us that citizens with guns won't result in "Blood running freely in the streets" and other pablum!

Barack Should Defy His Party (none / 0) (#6)
by DMOnline on Tue Jan 08, 2008 at 09:37:37 AM EST
If Barack Obama had any backbone, he'd defy Howard Dean and the Democratic National Committee and come to Michigan to campaign for at least a couple days.

As I recall, can't Democrat voters vote "uncommitted" or something like that if they don't want to vote for Hillary?  Can they right in their choice?

It would be such sweet justice to see Hillary Clinton beaten by "uncommitted"!!

It looks like you've embarassed the fish paper... (none / 0) (#12)

Just checked and the link to the other story still works.  Haven't read a retraction or an apology... suppose I shouldn't hold my breath either.
