    Needs 218 votes to pass

I called Blunt, Cantor, House Republicans, my rep
Mike Rogers, and Boehner to urge them to VOTE NO

Unfortuntely, it looks like it may pass

"Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither."

it's not a matter of caving at this juncture but in who won and who showed leadership.

    What leadership?

    It just passed, 263-171.

    Republicans/Democrats, there's a difference? (none / 0) (#4)

I don't have any hard numbers yet, but based on the overall vote, it is a safe bet that a number of "Republicans" have swallowed the kool aid.

    More to follow...

    Here you go. (none / 0) (#6)

my Rep Mike Rogers voted NO once again

I'll be calling to thank him

    We need to clean house.

Every "Republican" who voted YES in the House & the Senate needs to go

Rogers did his part (none / 0) (#8)

Thanks, Mike. I know he's a team player and pragmatic representative so it tells me a lot when he votes against the GOP "leadership."

The only ones who really showed me real leadership are Mike Pence, Jeb Hensarling and Thad McCotter. They led away against this piece of crap.

    Thanx, tenex22! (none / 0) (#9)

I'll work on another Spenders Wall of Shame later.

I need to get back on the road.

It may interest some that (none / 0) (#10)

Several legal scholars are saying that this bail out bill is patently Unconstitutional. Of course by the time that is all sorted out the money will be dispersed and I am sure the next infusion of OUR money will be on it's way to who ever has a hand out. But the hogs are lining up pretty quick. Now ARNOLD wants a bailout for Kalifornia, Illinois is asking for money and those are just two. I would say to Arnold you broke it you fix it. The same goes for Washington.
But I digress. The fact is this has no legal precendence and I really hope somebody gets something in the works and get the Judicial branch involved.
Also they keep saying this is a 700 billion dollar package. Try again Sparky, we have already spent $325 billion on Behr Stearns about three months ago. Add one to the other and that makes a trillion in anybodys neck of the woods.

    Dave Camp (none / 0) (#12)

Again, my RINO voted for the bailout. I will tell you right now, I am sending his camp (no pun intended) an e-mail informing him of the loss of mine and my family's votes (that would total 5 of us), as I am sure that I can convince my adult kids to vote against him.

Camp deserves to be voted out. What's the difference if a Dem gets elected up here if Camp is going to vote for crap like this? Then you see Dems like Stupak, and Kaptor and Kucinich of Ohio, vote against this bill, even though there was all that pork in it, I can't be certain anymore of which party to support.

I'm sick today - after such a great job by Gov. Palin last night, I have to put up with this crap today...

A friend of mine in California was at a breakfast where Dana Rohrabacher (who voted 'no') was speaking. My friend told me that Dana said that the best hope for this country is if McCain wins, and then the day after the inauguration, God vetoes the vote (IOW, for Palin to be president). I know it sounds cold for a congressperson to say such a thing about Sen. McCain, but after his caving to the left (and Bush, oops I didn't need that caveat), who the hell needs him the White House.

Neither Obama nor McCain represent change. It's business as usual.
