If baby boomers are only just beginning to understand the potential of video-sharing sites like YouTube in political campaigns, young, politically active people are already there.

Juliontheweb -- actually Juli DeLeeuw, a student at Grand Rapids Community College and conservative activist -- gets it, and is getting a following, too.

Her series of video blogs about all things political in Michigan, as viewed from the right, is developing a modest following.

Her commentary on a dispute on Central Michigan University's ban on videotaping has been viewed over 5,200 times.

Apparently Gazette editor Charlotte Channing got a hold of Michigan's ONLY regular political vlogger earlier this week and has an entire piece in the wrap this afternoon.  

Which would normally stir nothing but pride inside a brother's heart until you dig into the column and read about one of his sister's fans wondering ``Man, oh, man, where are the conservative hotties like Juli in my area?''

Dude.  Cool your jets.  Don't make me warm up the backhand.  Because I will.

Troublesome male admirers aside, it's a great article.  Way to go, Juli!  Just don't go getting a big head on us now, OK?
