    And, hoo boy, is this a doosy!

    Obviously not happy with Michigan's attempts to have a greater effect on the presidential race, the National GOP approved a tentative schedule moving Michigan back to the end of the calender come 2012.

    Kudos to GOP Chairman Saul Anuzis for opposing this cockamamie plan put forth by Ohio of all places.

    Hopefully, this isn't a done deal yet. It still needs to be approved by the RNC.

    Frankly, because the State legislatures set the primary dates, and the state taxpayers pay for the entire mess, it is none of the National committee's business.  If they wish to pay for their party's primary then all the more power to them.

    Otherwise, IMHO.. If the parties want to deliver a more reasonable method of primary selections they should <promote> a unified date which would reduce the tiresome extended primary season.  The State legislatures would of course need to be on board for these as well.
