Michigan Taxpayers Association to turn in 11,000 signatures to the S.o.S. today.

Kudos to Commissioner Drolet and those involved!

Now if he'll only do the right thing and resign?

THOUSANDS more than they needed and THOUSANDS more than they're going to submit.

Still, I'm afraid it's only going to be a matter of time before legal proceedings turn into BAMN Take 2.  Tables overturned, teen aged thugs yelling and screaming, Mark Brewer hiding from Chet's video camera...

Hmm. No wonder Thug & Co. tried to interrupt the (legal) process so agressively.  They must have known they've given plenty of people plenty of reason to be ticked off.

Geez, can't this blog get anything right? (none / 0) (#5)

    We turned in 15,498 signatures!!!

The 11,300 number is the number that we personally verified as "valid" by comparing them to the Sec. of State voter file. The 4,000 or so additional signatures were turned in too late for us to process. So we will have plenty more signatures than  the 8,824 needed - 77% more!

Turns out that jacking up taxes on economically beleaguered citizens is actually quite unpopular.

Of course Dillon and Brewer are whining that the people of Redford, Dearborn Hts and Livonia are too stupid to read a simple sentence that is the first line of the petition. Actually, the citizens I have met from the 17th House District COULD read and were smart enough to know that a big, fat tax hike is actually BAD for the economy.

Thanks to everyone who helped! Lets make the Speaker's recall a big story!

...about what's right and wrong in local campaigns, I've noticed that you've failed to answer mine regarding Mark Brewers handling of the Charter=County Executive Committee over here in Macomb County.

Now, whether it's because you've had your nose buried in the mdp speaking points memo this week, or whether it simply buried in Mark Brewers rear, who's to say.

But just to refresh your memory, here they are again:

Why did Mark Brewer use petition gatherers from OUTSIDE of Macomb County for an internal issue?

Why did Mark Brewer accept campaign donation from interests OUTSIDE of Macomb County for an internal issue?

Why can't Mark Brewer properly fill out campaign documentation correctly?

And my personal fav: Why is it a democratic county clerk, county prosecutor and county sheriff fail to do their duty in upholding campaign law?

    It's put-up or shut-up time here.

Answer the questions or stop trolling.
