WE DID IT! Speaker Dillon will face recall election

    Friends,

The citizen's of Redford, Dearborn Heights, and Livonia needed to collect 8,720 signatures in order to have a `recall Andy Dillon' question placed on the August 5th ballot.

I am ecstatic to announce that today Rose Bogaert, Sandra Eggers, and members of the Wayne County Taxpayers Association were able to submit 15,498 signatures to the Michigan Secretary of State - 77% more than required!

Everyone who helped make this possible is to be congratulated and thanked - including YOU if you pitched in.

Andy Dillon has already turned on the old Lansing `fog machine' - an attempt to accuse, lie, sue, whine, cry, more accusations, more lawsuits, blah, blah, blah. Anything to obscure the truth about his recall - that he led the legislature in supporting the biggest tax hike in Michigan history and then he gave the legislature a nice 7% budget increase.

Sorry, Andy. You made the choice of putting Lansing and bigger government ahead of the citizens' budgets. Now the citizens - over 15,000 of them - have asked for a choice on whether you should be fired ASAP.

Andy Dillon will become the first House Speaker in the United States to be recalled from office. And it will happen because he raised taxes on suffering Michigan citizens.

Congratulations to all who are helping!

    Leon Drolet

to follow. It's encouraging to see "we the people" make a difference.

I hope and pray there are many more opportunities taken where the citizens stick together and are more involved.

Thank you to all the brave people who made this happen.

Shouldn't Leon be sending his thanks to all of the out-of-state funders and out-of-district petition collectors who did the dirty work for him? Leon couldn't actually find enough people in the district to fund or work on the petition drive.

    I'll tell you what, NoviDemocrat, (none / 0) (#5)

when Mark Brewer explains all of the out of county donors and petition gatherers in Macomb County for the County Executive petition...then you can talk.

Their donor list reads like a who's who of the political brown-nosers here in the S.E. Michigan.

OABTW, he should also see about making sure that all of his campaign statements are in order.

Not to fear, I'm sure that our democratic county clerk, democratic county prosecutor and democratic sheriff will not be doing anything against him any time soon.

    Great job. (none / 0) (#6)

Great job people. Now that the Governor has had the pressure relieved from her brain maybe she will start to understand the great unwashed are not happy campers here in the Soviet Socialist Republic of New Siberia. It may even dawn on her that she will more then likely be next. Let us hope and pray.

The last time I checked a Judge ruled that the petition gatherers were doing nothing wrong.

Last time I checked a Judge said/wrote/called  thugdillon & co to put them on notice to stop interfering.

Last time I checked Dillon and his supporters are worried and understand that most do not care for Dillon's reckless abandon of law and will "by any means" obstruct the rights of the citizens.

Last time I checked Dillon supporters are so worried they are resorting to lies, cheating, obstruction of lawful right to petition, inserting erroneous arguments that have nothing to do with issue, and even trolling on conservative web sites.

Last time I checked, one side is worried and the other side has a bunch of signatures.
