Prophet or PoliticianBy Wendy Day, Section News
Obama is gainging popularity and some find it hard to understand.
But, he is easy to like, at least for those not paying attention. After all, he says he is the "tolerant" and "kind" candidate. When I was young and liberal, I would have bought into his "hope" rhetoric and his promises of a better future too. But hope is not a plan. Having hope instead of a plan is why folks line up week after week to spend their hard earned money on lottery tickets. Praying to the "powerball gods" has become a regular activity for too many. Obama is really preaching a religion based on worship of government.
Worship of government?
You bet. That is really what the ultra-left wing wants. No, Obama isn't the anti-Christ (at least I don't think so), but he is acting like a prophet more that a politian.
Obama wants us to seek first the kingdom of the US government to solve our problems. Bigger government and higher taxes are the doctrine. We can send our tithes and offerings to the US Treasury Department. The elders in his church could include: George Soros, Oprah Winfrey, Jesse Jackson, Ben Affleck, and of course his own pastor, Rev. Wright.
1. Thou shall recognize that George Bush is the source of all evil. The Church of the US government will surely have a Democratic congress singing in the isle. The rest of us probably won't feel the love. As the Bible says, "You shall know them by their fruits." I see some sour grapes in our future if Obama is elected.
