Good News In Iraq (that somehow got missed by the American MSM)

Just on silly observation (because I already know the answer), could someone please explain to me how this information missed front-page coverage in the USA?  My notes are italicized in brackets.

(Redacted for "fair use." Sorry Kevin, gotta be careful about more than very selective snippets. Etiquette and all.)

. . . that editorial that I posted was lifted in whole from the referenced source.  Admittedly, I did add a couple of comments for clarification.  could you please explain?  (That way I won't be guilty of the same screw up twice.)

. . . since I cannot repost the editorial directly, can I write my own commentary with links to and/or quotes from the original post?

    Easy explanation (none / 0) (#4)

Here's an easy answer. When you tell the American people over and over and over again that it's "Mission accomplished" or say "I think they're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency." (June 20, 2005), telling everyone one that happy times have arrived in Iraq followed the next week by a major outbreak of violence that most people are going to tune you out. The Republicons were dishonest with the American people from Day One and the American people have stopped listening.
