Maybe it's just me, but I don't think this will get the play that baby killer George Tiller got. To it's credit, however, the Detroit Free Press posted a short story this morning from the AP: Pro-life activist shot in Owosso.

The Michigan State Police say an anti-abortion activist has been shot and killed in front of Owosso High School.

The Flint Journal reports the shooting took place around 7:30 a.m. today, and a suspect was taken into custody about 45 minutes later at the suspect's home. The victim's identity has not yet been released.

State police at the Corunna post have confirmed a well-known anti-abortion activist was shot multiple times and killed this morning in front of Owosso High School.

Owosso High School secretary Wendy Smith said the students remain in lockdown this morning and confirmed that no students were involved and all are safe with classes going on as normal. The shooting did not occur on school property, Smith said.

I'm getting reports that Jim Poullion, the Owosso "sign guy" has been shot and killed outside of Owosso High School.

Jim has been an anti-abortion activist for over a decade.  He is known for his very confrontational manner and his extremely graphic signs which are supposed to depict aborted fetuses.  

I haven't had any official confirmations on the shooting.  ABC 12 is reporting that one person has been shot and killed at OHS.  The news on Facebook and the Shiawassee forums is that he was shot 4 times and has died from his wounds.
