Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

Some tips:

Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

First Tea of The Year!

Folks, its that time. I am up here and will not be able to make THIS ONE due to three things going on Saturday, but lets let them know we still are willing to gather as needed. Sign suggestions could be "we're still here" or "Hey, remember us?" or "No additional debt.." or something more related to deficits and energy. I'm sure you get the picture.

The South East Michigan 9.12 Project is inviting all Tea Party and patriotic citizens to "The Great American Rally" concerning deficits and energy.

Bring your family friendly signs and flags to bring awareness to others that "We the People" are fighting for our country and making our politicians accountable, and the Tea Party is here to stay.

The rally will be held on May 14th from 12:00 to 3:00 pm on Rochester Rd., north of M-59, south of Auburn Rd. on the east side along the side walk in front of Lowes and the west side parking lot of Meijers. Please park in the north part of the Lowes parking lot, and the west side of the Meijers parking lot.

Come for just a short while or spend the afternoon with us. We all go to our meetings and get our information on what is happening, but let's gather together and show our patriotic values. We can make a difference, which we proved back in November. So let us continue to make a difference in 2012.

Frustration Is

For many of us:

Frustration is seeing an unprecedented opportunity to fix the labor hold on Michigan and watching that opportunity potentially slip away because legislators seem to have forgotten already, the force that hired them.

Frustration is knowing the CO2 scam has not yet been fully purged, and that there are still government implementations being put in place to solve the non-existent problem. Including in Michigan and even locally.

Frustration is seeing some of the good things like elimination of the MBT being accomplished not by straight out cutting, but by a shift to other victims.

Frustration is not having enough time to offer all the solutions we have properly, because those solutions are nearly immediately eclipsed by the next round of idiotic government actions designed to create more issues that complicate the previous ones.

Frustration is having a skill and not being able to apply it, because of an unconstitutional application of federal law, and the failure of the states to assert their authority, and protect the rights that guarantee the ability to use that skill.

I could add a hundred more to the list

Frustration is not an entirely crippling problem I have however.
