Following up on the story below, the Michigan Republican Party issued a statement concerning the latest news reports about the U.S. Department of Justice filing a civil suit alleging Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway laundered money and committed mortgage fraud.
Matt Frendewey, director of communications for the Michigan Republican Party, issued the following statement:
"Democratic Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway must protect the integrity of Michigan's judicial system and immediately resign.Brewer is likely hiding at this point. Obamacare mandate blocked.
Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette today announced that a federal judge has issued a ruling blocking the implementation of a controversial U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate that would force religious employers to violate their religious and faith-based beliefs by providing insurance plans that cover services, including abortion-inducing drugs, that conflict with those beliefs.
