Somebody send this corrupt Democrat a septic truck with Drolets' Mr. Perks strapped to the top of it.
Jeez, where the Hell is the MIa-GOP when opportunities like this present itself? Schostak, you're a pathetically out-of-touch old weenie. That's why we've witnessed Bobby gifting Pelosi, and Udall, $666 in campaign contributions. Like they cared, idiot. By JGillman, Section News
Again.
The MiGOP chair once again screwed up an opportunity to mend fences with the conservative base. Bobby Shostak hoping to catch some of the CPAC love fest action for Michigan Republicans makes this announcement about 86th House District Representative Lisa Posthumus-Lyons who was featured and honored as one of the Conservative Political Action Conference's (CPAC) 10 conservatives under 40. Lyons District is in Kent and Ionia Counties, and serves as the Assistant Majority Floor Leader. : "Rep. Lyons is a tremendous leader in Michigan and she's a strong advocate of the common sense conservative policies that are resulting in Michigan's comeback." The release continued: ![]() " Rep. Lyons is recognized as a "Rising Young Conservative Leaders," which relates to CPAC's theme this year, "America's Future: The Next Generation of Conservatives. New Challenges, Timeless Principles."Timeless principles? "Timeless principles" must have a meaning I am not familiar with. Perhaps its those progressive principles they call timeless. If this is the next generation of conservative, I'm out. And a note to our MiGOP, the activists you will find below the fold are just a few of those who would disagree with this blind accolade. Very much so - Continue on below. (1 comment, 822 words in story) Full Story By KG One, Section News
Let me start off by saying that this is Exhibit "A" on what should be happening in the various levels of government around America.
And this isn't the only example of people that we need to be paying attention to. {Continued below} (9 comments, 477 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section News
"I looked up my family tree and found three dogs using it" - Rodney Dangerfield Here we go again in Michigan.
Ronna Romney McDaniel, granddaughter of former Michigan Gov. George Romney, said she's "looking at" a Republican run for Senate after Democrat Carl Levin announced he's not going to seek re-election. She was an active campaigner for her uncle Mitt Romney last year. What's happening in DC? Career hack politicos getting by, or surviving on last name recognition, and a disinterested electorate because we know both sides of the Ruling Class are lying to us.
Her father, Scott Romney, Mitt's older brother, told The News that after initially considering a run he has decided against a bid for the seat held for more than three decades by Levin, D-Detroit. Wait for it... {yawn}
Is this the 52-48 ShowStak Brand rearing its ugly head? Maybe the CD-11 Star Chamber making their move, again? Frankly, I could care less about either - MiGOP record of Romney failure: Lenore (1970), Ronna née Rakolta (94 & 96), G. Scott (AG '98), and Willard (08 & 12). Some folks just can't seem to take a hint. Sure, Ronna Between the Bush dynasty, and Romney wannabes, the Team R interlopers are beginning to make the Kennedy clan look like pikers among the last name entitlement leeches. Good luck with that. As in, oldtimer magic underpants.
The older brother of presidential candidate Mitt Romney is interested in running for the Michigan Senate seat being vacated by Carl Levin in 2014. Just like that damn Bush dynasty with Jeb now flitting about, these clowns living on last name entitlement just can't take a hint. Romney = Still trying in Michigan ever since daddy George created the State Income Tax
Um, no. No to everything seen the above. (4 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
Michigan Republican Chair Bobby Schostak kept a 52-48% advantage over challenger Todd Courser to keep his position as MiGOP chair.
Given the manner in which loyalty is blind, there is an expectation that advantage will always go to an incumbent. This is NOT a commentary on the people who voted for Schostak, but rather an observation of elections where the incumbent ought not be challenged. In other words, 48% voting against, is likely not the percentage who feel the party has been run poorly. The old adage "the devil you know" comes to mind; the outcome being one that has a few extra points built in. Safe to say that 48% or more want to see things change in the party. As the incumbent chair continues to serve, it is important he recognizes that those plans for a revitalized party that he borrowed from his opponent in the last two weeks ought to be more than mere lip service. Maintaining conservative principles, targeting on core family values, and finding conservative commonalities with groups currently held by the Democrat plantations might be a good start. Congratulations. More tomorrow. (6 comments) Comments >> By JGillman, Section News
My brother Steve and I used to talk politics..
I have a few of them, (Brothers) but THIS particular brother and I disagreed more often than not on issues of the national political stage, policies, and who might be best for leadership. Its was a discussion over George Bush in 2003 that had our wives (watching nearby) fearing a fist fight. Several adult beverages, and a few hours of heated discussion never brought the violence our mates had expected. And we remain as always willing to pick up such discussions, and love each other as brothers do. Family is good. Especially family that can disagree to the point where blood pressures are up, yet peace will prevail in the end. The reason I mention this is twofold; to illustrate that we can have disagreements and still carry on strong family/professional relationships, and to point out that I would still tell a brother where to stick a suggestion that I donate to ANYONE in that freak show called the Democrat party! I might even tell him to wrap it in broken glass and salted tinfoil for good measure first.
And I suspect he would respect that. (2 comments, 1345 words in story) Full Story By Corinthian Scales, Section Multimedia
