Announcing the Candidacy of Paul "Revere" Peterson for State Representative in the 79th District, the north end of Berrien County and along the coast down to Bridgman (see 79th District Map here.)
Being a district with an open seat due to the term limit of the honorable Rep. John Proos, one of the Fighting 43, it will be determined in a Primary Election on August 3rd, 2010. Be there! If you want a REAL Conservative, you've got to vote in the Republican Primary. (8 comments, 205 words in story) Full Story By Lex Rex, Section News
Jay Riemersma announced this morning he's giving away a signed copy of Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue, to the 85th online donor of $10 and up.
Then the story got picked up by Politico and the GR Press. Smart play all around. I'd encourage right Michigan readers to support this strong conservative candidate for Congress, and get a chance at an autographed copy of Going Rogue. Just be sure to let me know if you're number 84...I've still got a few names on my Christmas list that would love this book. You can donate here. The Detroit Free Press had a very interesting bio piece on Rick Snyder this morning. I'm surprised I'm the first commenting on it (my guess is the Snyder's camp will not be sending this story around).
Below is a passage every conservative needs to read, it's from the bottom of the story so I cut/pasted it below: "He [Rick Snyder] supports using human embryos to create stem cells for medical research. He favors government recognition of rights for gay and lesbian couples much like those accorded married couples. He opposed the ban on race and gender preferences approved by Michigan voters in 2006." After reading that, begs to question.... what party is Rick Snyder a part of, because those are NOT the ideals of the Republican Party. I caught this article from Phil Power on the Livingston Daily. Phil reported on the gloom permeating the Mackinac Policy Conference and hope what he's reporting is not true
