Stating that the cost of government run healthcare will be destructive by hurting the poor and middle class the most, Nick Sundquist today announced his intention to primary Senator Goeff Hansen (R-34th) because his record indicates he will continue to vote for the governments war on healthcare freedom. Sundquist believes he knows what the Republican base wants in Senator Hansen's district and what they expect in a state senator. Sundquist notes:

"It is vital that we have a state senator that actively works to keep government out of the lives of our families and businesses and work equally hard to protect the liberties and health freedom of the districts constituents."

"This will be a major issue for conservative primary voters in 2014.  Should Senator Hansen vote against our health freedoms.  I believe that conservative voters will reject a sitting senator who supports team Obama by voting to take away our liberties and will rally around a fresh approach that centers on lowering taxes, individual liberty, and reducing the size and scope of government intrusion into our lives.

If there was ever any doubt that Senator Hansen was out of touch with the current Republican primary voters, this vote on expanding Medicaid will tell us for sure." "

Senator Hansen is currently a member of the following committees:

• Agriculture
  
• Economic Development
  
• Insurance
  
• Outdoor Recreation and Tourism (Chair)
  
• Transportation

Levin used his weight to ask the IRS to give special attention to groups that were somewhat political:

"Levin's list contained nine conservative groups, including Club for Growth, Americans for Tax Reform, and Americans for Prosperity. It also included two liberal groups and one centrist group.

The IRS officials were reportedly already aware that the agency had been targeting conservative groups for special scrutiny during the time Levin was corresponding with Shulman and Lerner.

Thank God this clown is moving along.  However, what about his protege, Gary Peters?  Congressman Peters, who had lately been commenting on the actions of the IRS,

"For the IRS to wildly misuse its authority and target people or groups on ideological grounds goes against the core of our democracy and sets a dangerous precedent,"

Nope.  Peters was standing with Obama and the Dem Senators like Levin when his reelection was years away, but now he's just hoping to resonate with some voters back home.  Just another election year conversion of convenience.

Way to be a real advocate for free speech, Gary.

Even within the Republican ranks, good conservatives who carry strong convictions, and won't be bullied to become moderate are labeled as 'extreme'. Labeled in ways that are more harsh than what they would call the reversed polarity party of the Democrats; a party THEY SAY that sites like this should be attacking, before challenging Republicans.

At the convention as I was speaking with a 1st district delegate and past chair, I was reminded that we are expected to stay in line until fully vested in all manner of the process. Though she would not acknowledge the suggested verbiage of "waiting our turn", she said nothing that would support anything but a path of subservience to the powers-that-be first. "You cant't just jump in and be chair, Jason!" She exclaimed after losing patience with the successful whip efforts in our district. I wonder where she was in 2010?

I didn't hear her say then; "You can't just jump in and be GOVERNOR!" to the guy who had WON with 64% of Republicans opposing him.

I guess its just about the money.  Cause that makes it OK.

If one ever wonders how something appears on the radar "all of a sudden", make the date available.  Many of the folks you have seen here and at the really important activities in Lansing will be there.  At the very least, the networking with those who have consistently been on the forefront of our fight is worth the trip.

Working on my own schedule to make it happen.

The moderates en-mass, are the modern day equivalent of Neville Chamberlain, offering appeasement and capitulation thus normalizing the freakish behaviors, looting, and social destruction the progressives bring.  Instead of making an argument for a principle, offering instead a "respect" for a perverted point of view tendered by those progressives.  The looters outnumber us, the voting wolves are upon the voting sheep, and the cycle is now irreversible.

Until Rome burns completely.

OK.  Funny thing about the type of misery those looting folks are going to discover.  Pain is truly theoretical until one places that hand upon the stove.  Stupidity MUST be painful.

This election should have been a blow out.

Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum or any of the others down to that crazyassed Gary Johnson should have blown out the loser who has presided over an actual 11% unemployment, and 30% under-employment, loss of stature in the world, defective energy policy, tyrannical regulatory environments, lessened security, inappropriate supreme court justice picks, etc., etc., and freaking etc..

Romney became that moderate.  Ask his etch-a-sketch.

Yes, this election should have been a blow out.  Instead it was an absolute embarrassment.

And we have now lost the United states Supreme court, and quite possibly our constitution forever.

The well being of our nation might well fall on the reporting and writing done here, on other conservative blogs, and in new media in general.  

The dead tree media has no interest in printing the whole truth.  Obama's pet peacock is certainly not going to offer a scintilla of balanced challenge to the president, even while their stockholders take some of the hits that come with a failing economy.  CNN?  Right.  None of the news 'giants' are expected to offer a fair balance of criticism towards 'the won', and Romney might have gains seen, only to be followed up by another revealing look at his childhood; perhaps a toilet papering incident.

And THEN we have to deal with the folks who don't seem to like us so much (as we pad their electoral majorities) like Brooks Patterson.  Someone who might consider a veteran and engineer unsuitable because he cannot be put underfoot.  That kind of battle is unnecessary and unfortunately bruises feelings a bit.  It stresses the relationships we need in the November cycle.  The one's that used to spawn THEIR question: "will you support our guy in Nov?"

We have.  Will they reciprocate?

With a multifaceted task at hand, we proceed.  We have a responsibility to provide the truth, and speak out for our true conservative brothers.  We also can have some fun in the meantime.

I'm heading to this event in a month. Its just a couple of days out of the campaign, and frankly I need to recalibrate the writing skills.
