Lt. Gov. Brian Calley on Tuesday called for a special election to fill the seat of U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, who resigned suddenly on Friday. Nice, eh? Mass confusion created for an establishment player's write-in campaign. (12 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News

In a statement released late Friday, McCotter said "after nearly 26 years in elected office, this past nightmarish month and a half have, for the first time, severed the necessary harmony between the needs of my constituency and of my family. As this harmony is required to serve, its absence requires I leave. Thank God this toilet squatter wasn't around 236 years ago when the 56 signers were telling George III to go take a flying one, or we would still be ruled under England's king. Never trust a Fred Upton clan Moderate. Never. Ever. (6 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
No joke. Dick Posthumus' decade old Lt. gov running mate just announced he's going write-in.
Yannow, with all the light that is being shined on the incumbent mentality within the Party establishment, they really are starting to make the AGW zealots and Earth Day kooks look a lot less insane by comparison. This is all the more reason why I'd vote for Kerry Bentivolio. Send Kerry a few jingle$ if you can, folks. The Party is stacking the deck against him. Attaboy, Mike. That's the "rules matter" Jarhead that folk like and respect.

"No one has heard of anything so over the top before," echoed former Republican Attorney General Mike Cox. He added: "To have really overt massive potential fraud is really very unusual." Isn't that just lovely? Bottom line: We have a smarmy, career DC politico doofus from his specially redrawn District-11 who is now wasting our tax dollars on a misdemeanor witch-hunt that he is responsible for creating. Thanks, Thad. (10 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
What an awesome development. Kerry Bentivolio (previously iCaucus endorsed), just may be the only Republican running in CD-11. Presidential primary washout and Romney water carrier, Thesaurus McModerate, appears to not have collected the necessary 1,000 valid signatures to be on August primary ballot.
The shocking development could keep the five-term Republican U.S. House member from running again if he cannot convince the Michigan Secretary of State's office that he collected more than 1,000 valid signatures. Whooot! My fingers are crossed. Please, feel free to visit Mr. Kerry Bentivolio's campaign website by clicking, here. (4 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
Thaddy Macs PAC funded book tour ends so now he endorses Romneybama.
Instead, he'll run again for the 11th Congressional District seat he's held since 2003. (8 comments) Comments >> By Corinthian Scales, Section News
This pompous ass truly suffers cognitive dissonance.
McCotter, you're not only a fiscal conservative fraud, but a union shill too. That's what scared you away from challenging lil' Debbie for U.S. Senate. (6 comments) Comments >> |
