Editor's note: Notice the year. The new EPA rules will be causing the Marquette facility to go offline to be a part of the problem. They have three years before the rates 'necessarily skyrocket'. - JGillman

Lest anyone become confused about Fred Upton's positions on 'climate change', they might perhaps take time to read this at the Madison Project:
Yeah. Not so long ago either. The debate is over huh?"I have said at nearly every climate change hearing that for me I don't dispute the science. Right or wrong, the debate over the modeling and science appears to be over." And people wonder why there isn't excitement in the elections any longer. The Madison project points out what everyone should know, that Upton would be as comfortable on the left side of the aisle as he is presumably, by voting with the Republican Caucus. Aside from the several extreme environmental in-your-face regulatory votes where he did in fact jump ship and vote left of center. Like THIS VOTE. Or even a famous vote banning the incandescent bulb, and costing US Jobs in the process. Yay! Pelosi! Woot! Aren't you proud???! Retire Fred. Your heretical pandering to the big government left ideals is pathetic. I'm with the Madison Project. I wonder if it isn't time to go here?: DONATE TO HOOGENDYK? The Michigan Supreme Court experienced an extraordinary change in last year's elections, when Cliff Taylor was replaced by Diane Hathaway. This month, the new court begins its first full year together. Check here for one observer's keen predictions as to how the court will decide its first eight cases. Among other things, the cases involve home invasion, a vehicular homicide, and apples. Enjoy!

I just received Rick Snyder's email message.
For the governor candidate with the most staff and biggest operation, he really should find someone more clever to write his emails. (2 comments, 294 words in story) Full Story By conservativefox, Section News
The Detroit Free Press had a very interesting bio piece on Rick Snyder this morning. I'm surprised I'm the first commenting on it (my guess is the Snyder's camp will not be sending this story around).
Below is a passage every conservative needs to read, it's from the bottom of the story so I cut/pasted it below: "He [Rick Snyder] supports using human embryos to create stem cells for medical research. He favors government recognition of rights for gay and lesbian couples much like those accorded married couples. He opposed the ban on race and gender preferences approved by Michigan voters in 2006." After reading that, begs to question.... what party is Rick Snyder a part of, because those are NOT the ideals of the Republican Party. ![]() Last November RightMichigan was the first outlet anywhere in the world to tell readers about a militant homosexual organization's violent physical attack in the middle of Sunday service on congregants of Delta Township's Mount Hope Church. Now, more than six months and nearly a half-million google links after the story exploded, the Alliance Defense Fund is taking the next step. They've filed suit in United States District Court on behalf of the church, seeking an injunction against and damages from "Bash Back," the organization that orchestrated and carried out last year's assault. "They don't have the right to come in and terrorize the congregation," Kevin Theriot, senior counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund told the Lansing State Journal. "This case would have never been filed if these folks had just stayed on the public sidewalk, held up their signs and didn't disrupt the service." Of course, they went much further than that.
