Start @ 2:20 to hear Saul Anuzis bullshit the audience. That was us shaking our heads he was talking about. Then the lady in the back calls him out on his bullshit. Now they're gonna have TSA at the state convention in Detriot. We got an email later saying "The party says "anyone who wants to be a state delegate is subject to search. Sickening--but no worse than what we put up with when we fly.
Be calm, be patient, and be silent toward the state party. They've made it abundantly clear that they intend to violate every standard of impartiality."
Stay calm while the TSA hand rapes you or violates you, THIS IS BULLSHIT, NOT RIGHT, NOT CONSTITUTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!

Saul even said that he would vote for Ron Paul if he was winning, but according to him Romney's winning so that's who he's voting for. What does that say about him?

For that reason, and the NPV issue, I have decided I do not care much for Mr. Anuzis all that much.  The NPV thing, I have known about and did not consider it too awful until realizing how close it is to screwing over our country, (ever-vigilant, check) and leaving the decision of who our commander in chief will be to NY, and California voters pretty much by themselves.  The "Dele-Gate" thing was/is far worse in my view, and demonstrated the worst level of politics, and frankly makes the Mi GOP look simply corrupt going into the most important election of our lifetime.

"Just a few bad apples," as they say.

Yeah, we (this forum for the most part) supported Saul for the NRC top spot. And at the time for all we knew, we were right.  He is a likeable guy, understands the use of technology better than most, and knows the players.  After looking at Priebus and the NRC position on NPV, we should be thanking God for a solid denial of that goal.

Elections matter as they say.  Even those inter party ones.

Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana was defeated in the state's Republican primary Tuesday, ending the 36-year career of a GOP elder statesman and handing the Tea Party movement its biggest upset victory so far in the 2012 elections.

Lugar was ousted by State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, whose campaign against the veteran lawmaker was backed by conservative groups including the Tea Party Express, the anti-tax Club for Growth, the National Rifle Association, the Tea Party-aligned Freedom Works, and former Republican Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

Fact is, Saul Anuzis once in a while used this forum to broadcast his theme of the day.  Most of us here have understood him to be at least moderately conservative, but the NPV issue, and the recent "dele-gate" scheme which casts a pall on his loyalties.  Is it conservatism, rule of law or the self serving allure of power and money which drives him?  I don't live in his head, so I'll make no absolute statement as to what motivates him, but I've seen enough to know I wouldn't keep him around influencing our party beyond the term he now serves.

But in all fairness, it seems one of our community members and regular poster ought to have his say, right?:

However the biggest thing is when push comes to shove, Saul will do what he thinks is right."

That's an easy out.  Its like saying "he believes what he thinks."

Sorry RM, if you want to say "he taught me everything I know", I get it.  Maybe even "I like him."

What I would like however, is if you are going to talk about what he thinks is right, then perhaps I would ask, "do you agree?"

Mike Cox, the CHAIR of the credentials committee isn't doing it.  In fact, the former attorney general of Michigan has been pretty clear where he stands on the issue.

"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong. It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

Mr Cox an attorney, also joined by Eric Doster, the Counsel for the Michigan GOP voted NO to changing the rules on Wednesday night, with regard to delegate assignment.  Even Holly Hughes is reported as saying she disagrees with the rules change.

Those who voted FOR?  Bobby Schostak, Sharon Wise, and Bill Runco all voting for the change appear to have more of a silence following them.  The last of the "gang of four", Saul Anuzis is the most heard, and continues to defend it as if it is a matter of life and death.  Its as if it is his baby.  His creation.  HIS work.

I believe it is.

In fact, one Tea Party leader I have spoken to says it is a "test case" for NPV.  A way that Saul can see if reassigning delegates can be done through further "weighting" of population heavy counties like Oakland.

Never turn your back on the enemy.  Especially if the end result of all their efforts is to relieve you of your part in the decision making process.  The electoral college, as well as the establishment of the Senate was designed to protect state's interests in the face of ever wavering "POPULAR OPINION".  The masses as we see all too often with reactionary effect respond to media driven impulses.

And media as we have known it can no longer be trusted.

It has become heavily manipulated by leftists with wads of cash. Like JON SOROS (George Soro's Son):

"The Constitution is no longer in line with our expectations regarding the role of the people in selecting the president.  ... Under the proposed National Popular Vote compact, state legislatures would agree to choose electors who promise to support the winner of the nationwide popular vote."

Soros has bankrolled the NPV movement, and we have Republicans in this state who actually think its a good idea.

That AlGore should have won?

The letter is very clear about the protections afforded smaller states with regard to the electoral college.  It also touches on the spawning of the recent movement trying to advance NPV. The letter is in support of the electoral college as it is.  In fact as it concludes:

"It Underscores the importance of federalism to the founders and it embodies the balance they aimed to achieve through deference to states with smaller populations and by insuring that the interest of these states be reflected in national decision-making."

Ain't gonna happen.
