    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

For support, questions, and general help with Scoop, email support@scoophost.com

    ScoopHost.com is currently running Scoop version scoop-1_1-dev from 2006/08/26 20:02:04 .

Jay Riemersma announced this morning he's giving away a signed copy of Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue, to the 85th online donor of $10 and up.

Then the story got picked up by Politico and the GR Press.  Smart play all around.

I'd encourage right Michigan readers to support this strong conservative candidate for Congress, and get a chance at an autographed copy of Going Rogue.  Just be sure to let me know if you're number 84...I've still got a few names on my Christmas list that would love this book.  You can donate here.

From the Riemersma campaign via email this morning:

    Hello All,

John Adams, our second president & major contributor and signer of The Declaration of Independence, said, "Our Constitution is wholly inadequate to the government of any other then a moral and religious people."

This warning says at it's heart that if the people of our country or it's legislators do not have high moral standards the Constitution does not have the regulations in it to guard against immoral corruption.  The founders so believed in "We The People" they wrote the Constitution so they would have the true power in this great nation.  They also "Banked" in that just and moral heart that the people had at that time.

Without that just and moral heart guiding your decisions, an immoral person will steer away from the Constitutions intentions and drag everyone else with them.  Thus re-writing the Constitution without actually changing it's words.

I've been asked several times(actually only once, by maidintheus, but the post sounds better using 'several')what is my take on Mike Cox, Mike Bouchard and Pete Hoekstra after seeing them at the Republican Leadership Conference.
