  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

    CBS Boston

An armed robber held up a teacher at gunpoint inside a small arts school in a Jamaica Plain neighborhood Wednesday night. The incident, along with a second robbery in the area Thursday night has police stepping up patrols in the area near Eliot Street, an area considered a walking neighborhood near Monument Square.

On Wednesday night, a suspect described as a black man in his 20's, about 5-feet-8 inches to 6-feet-1 inches tall, medium build and wearing a hoodie made his way to the second floor of the Eliot School of Fine and Applied Arts.

Executive Director Abigail Norman says he showed a weapon and demanded the teacher's wallet and cellphone.

"He (the teacher) had a lot of poise, lived in the city his whole life, and knew to give the stuff away," she said.

Sheriff Ken Campbell of Boone County, Indiana, defending Second Amendments Rights for his citizens to be best equipped to protect themselves, and their family from criminals.

I won't be holding my breath for Oakland County's most visible failed politician Mike Bouchard, to stand up like this guy did.  Especially, not since Sheriff Bouchard was the only one to have his Undersheriff testify against SB 59.

    Folks, elections matter.

    9&10 News

Another armed robbery has been reported in Mount Pleasant.

Students received an alert about an armed robbery near Mission and Broadway Street about 1.5 miles north of Central Michigan University's campus.

Police say a Hispanic or white man entered a Check N Cash, took out a hand gun, and demanded money.

The man took an undetermined amount of money before fleeing on foot west of the business.

Police described the man to be about 30 years old, about 5'10", with a thin to medium build.

He was last seen wearing a dark colored coat, blue with white striped athletic pants, and a blue and black plaid baseball cap with ear flaps.

This is the fifth armed robbery in Mount Pleasant in the past three days.

Chill, women, says Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar. While arguing for the disarmament of college students, Salazar says that even if women feel like they're going to be raped, they may not, so who needs a firearm for protection? From Revealing Politics:

"We live in a society of wolves. You do not fight back by creating more sheep!"

Own the language, own the argument?  That's a fact.  The wolves are our elected.  Our Rights are not theirs to offer.  Our Rights are to limit them.

To paraphrase an old expression... God made man, firearms made this 56-year-old great-grandmother equal.

"It's sad you have all those men on the bus, and no one helped me," .. "At first, I felt remorse because I have grandchildren. If my grandchildren are out here doing what these punks are doing, they need to get the same thing."

There were no "men" on that bus.  Too damn bad she didn't drop the lowlife thug.  Range time, Ramona.  Gun control means hitting what you're aiming at.
