Following up on the story below, the Michigan Republican Party issued a statement concerning the latest news reports about the U.S. Department of Justice filing a civil suit alleging Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway laundered money and committed mortgage fraud.
Matt Frendewey, director of communications for the Michigan Republican Party, issued the following statement:
"Democratic Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway must protect the integrity of Michigan's judicial system and immediately resign.Brewer is likely hiding at this point.
