So true.
The saying that essentially ascribes responsibility for making certain decisions, becomes particularly appropriate after this country re-elected the un-re-electable last night. The country says thank you, may I have another? A commenter on Twitter last night points out quite correctly, that we now will know what it would have been like to have a Jimmy Carter second term. In 1980, folks might well have paid attention a little more to cause and effect. Or maybe folks today are composed too wholly of those indoctrinated youth we have ignored for an entire generation and more. Perhaps it might be something more sinister, but for whatever the reason, we lost control of this one. We will now own the results. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice .."Shame indeed.
