  • Your New Scoop Site

    Welcome to Scoop!

To help you figure things out, there is a Scoop Admin Guide which can hopefully answer most of your questions.

    Some tips:

    • Most of the layout is changed in "Blocks", found in the admin tools menu
    • Features can be turned on and off, and configured, in "Site Controls" in the admin tools menu
    • Stories have an "edit" link right beside the "Full Story" link on an index page, and right beside the "Post a Comment" link on the full story page. They can also be edited by clicking the story title in the "Story List" admin tool
    • Boxes are what allow you to write new features for Scoop; they require a knowledge of the perl programming language to work with effectively, although you can often make small changes without knowing much perl. If you would like a feature added but cannot program it yourself, ScoopHost does custom Scoop programming as one of its services.
    • If you aren't sure where to look for a particular feature or piece of display, try the "Search Admin Tools" link in the admin tools menu.

Just over one year into his presidency, Mr. Obama is finding that true leadership requires more than lofty ideals, eloquent words and rigid partisanship. Facing a deficit of political capital that rivals that of our own country, he must now decide to push forward in defiance or to begin the slow and inevitable crawl back from the furthest corners of leftist ideology.

The Obama administration may have trouble selling the remainder of its incredibly awful tasting gruel. Nothing says "over seasoned" like a good in-your-face repudiation of all that they have served in merely a year's time. How could you  possibly argue with a customer who under normal circumstances will take whatever it is you dish out, but now is throwing back what has been served.. directly at you?  Our federal and state governments may have to dodge a few more times lest they wear the sloppy sticky mess they have offered.

Michigan voters should note the incredible promise the election of Republican Scott Brown to a US Senate seat in MA holds.  It shows that even a quite dark blueberry state such as Massachusetts is capable of throwing away a decidedly distasteful mix of the socialist crap pie that has been getting force fed to this country's citizens.  Perhaps it was a little too much elitist spice, and not enough salt of the earth.

I suppose that no matter the ultimate half baked meal being served, it was enough for the same voters who had elected the ultra leftist liberal Ted Kennedy for multiple decades to say "enough is enough."  Perhaps it means it could happen in Michigan as well?
